Bio Bits

Salomaki grew up in Finland, in a volleyball family with three sisters. She represented Finland in the 2003 European Championships. She competed in Australia for two years before enrolling in college in the U.S. Salomaki played one season at Mississippi University for Women, and three at Louisiana-Lafayette. Surpassing 1,000 kills in her collegiate career, Salomaki earned honorable mention all-Louisiana honors after her sophomore campaign. In 2006 she became a student assistant coach for the Rajun Cajuns.
